...to empower children and adults with developmental disabilities to live
work, and play as full members of the Miami County community!
Our Mission is fulfilled by:
Raising community awareness of needs of people with disabilities.
Employing and maintaining a highly competent staff to educate, train and
support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
Insuring that the legal, civil, and human rights of each individual to whom
it provides services are safeguarded.
Developing services and programs that meet the changing and growing demands
and challenges in the field of mental retardation. Riverside of Miami County is
a County Board of DD which is designed to meet the needs of our enrollees and
their families in a variety of settings. We provide a wide range of services and
programs to individuals with developmental disabilities starting at infancy and
continuing through adulthood and into retirement.
