What is a fun fact about you?

I traveled to China a few years ago, and it was amazing!

Why did you decide to come to work at Riverside?

While working at Goodwill Industries as a job coach supervisor, a very special business associate of mine, Sharon Emerick, who had recently left BVR to work for Riverside recruited me to come and work here. Honestly, it was a great switch because it was in my home county and it was close to home; I no longer had to put 2,000 miles per month on my car.

How would you describe your job?

I assist eligible individuals who request to volunteer within their communities or who want to take the next step and obtain employment. It's always a challenge and never dull.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Watching the individuals become successful in their respective volunteer or employment roles. I enjoy seeing how they grow from their experiences.

What do you love about being a part of #TeamRiverside?

The question should be, "What ISN'T to love about working at Riverside?"

The answer is simple: the people I serve and my coworkers. Riverside is such a sense of family to me, and I've made some wonderful relationships over my 20 years here. The flexibility and support from coworkers, directors and the Superintendent can't be found elsewhere.

What inspires you to keep working at Riverside?

My inspiration to keep coming to Riverside each day are those folks for which I try to do my best in helping coordinate volunteer and employment opportunities. Helping just one person to achieve their goals and realize their success makes this job worth it.

I've been lucky enough to help many more than just one person during my tenure, and I hope to be able to continue to help those that want my services.
