Providers of services to individuals with DD are required by rule to call in and report UI/MUI within four (4) hours of the event, and submit a written report by 3 p.m. the next business day.

Because people with developmental disabilities are among our community’s most vulnerable citizens, the Miami County Board of Developmental Disabilities is committed to protecting their health and safety.

Our Investigative Agents at are responsible for examining cases of abuse, neglect and unusual incidents involving people we serve.

All reports are then reviewed by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities. Incidents of a criminal nature are turned over to law enforcement.
