About Us

As Miami County’s local board of developmental disabilities, Riverside serves nearly 1,000 people. Our mission is to empower people with developmental disabilities to live, work and play as full members of our community. We directly provide service coordination, training, Early Intervention for ages 0-2, recreation services and Special Olympics programs, advocacy training, family education and training for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). We also coordinate and fund services through our network of service provider partners, including: adult day services, in-home care, job training and support, and transportation.
